Welcome to the Department of Management. The Department offers three undergraduate options, three certificate programs and sponsors the Master of Science degree in Health Care Management. We serve approximately 1600 students per quarter. The Department employs thirteen full-time faculty members and numerous regular part-time faculty members with specialties in management, operations management, human resources, and healthcare management. Our faculty use innovative teaching methods including team teaching, field studies, service learning, class simulations and debates, and computer simulated business games. In our High Performance Management course students videotape themselves demonstrating management skills and then view and critique their performance.
Please visit the Department office in Simpson Tower F717 and pick up our advisement materials, including a flow diagram of the business core courses and program sheets. Current job openings are also posted.
The Department teaches courses in four different areas:
- Management (or General Management)
- Operations Management
- Human Resources Management
- Healthcare Management
At the graduate level there are Master in Business Administration, Master of Science Degree in Business Administration with Option in Management, and Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Management programs.
