Marshall Geller

Marshall Geller is Co-Founder and a Senior Managing Director of St. Cloud Capital, LLC, a Los Angeles based private equity fund formed in December 2001. He was Chairman, CEO and Founding Partner of Geller & Friend Capital Partners, Inc., a private merchant bank formed in November 1995.

From 1991 to October 1995, Mr. Geller was the Senior Managing Partner and Founder of Golenberg & Geller, Inc., a merchant banking investment company. From 1988 to 1990, he was the Vice-Chairman of Gruntal & Company, a New York Stock Exchange investment-banking firm. From 1967 through 1988, Mr. Geller was Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns & Company in charge of all areas of Corporate Finance, Public Finance, and Institutional Equities & Debt for Bear Stearns in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Japan and Hong Kong. He was also a director of Shun Loong-Bear Stearns Far East and Sun Hung Kai-Bear Stearns, both leading Chinese-owned investment banking businesses in Japan, Hong Kong and China.

Mr. Geller has served in various capacities on the boards of numerous publicly and privately held corporations and many varied charitable organizations. Currently he serves as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of ShopNBC-Value Vision Media, Inc. (Nasdaq:VVTV) and as a director on the boards of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE.GPX), 1st Century Bank N.A. (Nasdaq:FCNA), SCPIE Holdings (NYSE.SKP), Blue Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq:BLUE), and National Holdings (NHLD.OB), holding company for National Securities. Mr. Geller was formerly chairman of the Investment Committee for ValueVision, for which he helped structure a $222 million private equity investment by GE Capital and NBC in 1999. Mr. Geller was formerly Interim President and CEO of Players International, Inc. (which during his continued tenure as a director was acquired by Harrah’s Entertainment in March 2000 for $425 million), and non-executive chairman of Hexcel Corporation (NYSE). Mr. Geller was a strategic early round investor in and advisor to iMall (a provider of electronic commerce services to small businesses), for which he helped arrange a $20 million equity investment by First Data Corporation in 1998, and which was sold to Excite@Home in October 1999 for $637 million.

Mr. Geller served on the Illinois Task Force on Financial Services, an organization created by former Governor James R. Thompson to analyze and suggest needed changes in the State Financial Services Regulations. He also served on Los Angeles’ former Mayor Tom Bradley’s Advisory Board to the California Corporation Commissioner, assisting in the study of the Securities and Real Estate industries. Mr. Geller presently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Business & Economics at California State University, Los Angeles and was presented the University’s Distinguished Alumnus Award for the College of Business & Economics. Mr. Geller is also on the Board of Governors of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles.

Marshall Geller has many varied interests in the sports and entertainment fields. He is a former partner of the Chicago Bulls professional basketball team and has owned interests in other sports franchises and made investments in many industries in the United States and foreign countries. He is a native Californian and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
