Apply for admission to the M.S. Health Care Management Program
In addition to University requirements for admission to CSULA for graduate study, the M.S. Health Care Management program requires a 2.75 or better grade point average (GPA) in the last 90 quarter units of undergraduate studies. (90 quarter units are equivalent to 60 semester credits.) In addition, the program requires one or more years of work experience in health care, and two letters of recommendation.
Domestic students should apply to the M.S. Health Care Management program after acceptance by the University to graduate studies. International students should apply to the University and the M.S. Health Care Management program at the same time.

Applicants should send the following:
(1) A cover letter addressed to the Coordinator, M.S. Health Care Management program, College of Business and Economics, requesting admission to the program, including:
a. the quarter and year in which applicant intends to enroll if admitted;
b. the number of years the applicant has worked in health care;
c. Full name, address, email, and telephone number of the applicant;
d. If available, the applicant’s CSULA campus identification number;
e. The applicant’s undergraduate GPA in the last 90 quarter units;
f. A statement that a resume, statement of career objectives, and two letters of recommendation are attached or have been separately
(2) A résumé that documents work experience in health care.
(3) A statement of the applicant’s career objectives, indicating why the applicant is pursuing the degree.
(4) Two letters of recommendation, preferably from persons who have supervised the applicant's work in a health care setting. Letters may be provided on the organization’s letterhead and addressed to the Coordinator, M.S. Health Care Management Program, alternatively on the recommendation forms.
(5) A completed “course program” and quarter-by-quarter plan of the courses the applicant intends to take.
(6) A photocopy of the university’s letter of acceptance to graduate studies (for domestic students; not required of international applicants). |
