The Management Department extends a very warm welcome to our newest faculty members Dr. Ivan Montiel and Dr.Min Shi.
Ivan Montiel
Ivan Montiel is an Assistant Professor of Management at California State University, Los Angeles. His research interests include how organizations can design socially responsible and sustainable strategies while remaining competitive, business ethics dilemmas, and management in Latin American countries. He has a doctorate in Environmental Science & Management from the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at University of California, Santa Barbara, a postgraduate degree from the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and an undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Prior to joining CSULA he taught at The University of Texas, Pan American. His research has been published in Journal of Economics & Management Strategy, Policy Studies Journal, Business & Society and Organization & Environment.
Min Shi
Dr. Min Shi is an assistant professor in the Department of Management at California State University, Los Angeles. Before joining Cal State LA, Dr. Shi held various positions at Cal Poly Pomona, Marist College, and Rutgers University. Dr. Shi’s research interests include operations management, supply chain management, applied statistics, and operations/finance interface. He has published several research papers in refereed journals, including Applied Psychological Measurement and Journal of Educational Measurement. Dr. Shi also serves in the editorial broad of International Journal of Operations Research and Information Systems. Dr. Shi received his Ph.D degree in Management from Rutgers University in 2007.
